  • Housekeeping Supervisor
    • Housekeeping Supervisor

      General Purpose of the Position:

      The Housekeeping Supervisor functions to assist the Director of Housekeeping when necessary and to make sure operations are performed in the proper work order and to the standards of the club.


      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      Responsible for opening and closing of the office and laundry when Director is not available.


      • Supervise the employees as well as perform the same duties as the employees when necessary. Check on employees through personal observation and inspect areas that might be overlooked in the daily routine.

      • The Supervisor checks the outlying Recreation Centers, the Tennis Pavilion, Comfort stations, and all administrative offices.

      • Is responsible to see that all employees are in full clean uniforms, are wearing closed toe shoes and name tags at all times.

      • Responsible for training and counseling of line staff as needed.

      • In season, the Supervisors hours may fluctuate according to specific functions being held at Gleneagles.

      • Will assist the Director of Housekeeping in any other additional duties as necessary.

      • Communicate with co-workers, management, members, guests and others in a courteous and professional manner.

      • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, safety rules and guidelines, work procedures and instructions

      Skills and Abilities Required:

      *Requires the ability to supervise employees.

      *Able to enforce rules of how housekeeping operation is done correctly.

      *Knowledge of housekeeping rules and regulations a must.

      Education and Experience Required:

      High school diploma or the equivalent plus two - five years of previous related experience.
      Country Club or Hotel Experience preferred!

  • Bartender
    • Bartender - Full Time Seasonal

      General Purpose of the Position:

      Stocks and serves alcoholic drinks while maintaining a clean and orderly bar. 


      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Prepare, pour and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
      • Requires knowledge of all aspects of mixology and wine presentation and service.
      • Mixes and serves alcoholic drinks to order, making appropriate charge to member’s accounts.
      • Responsible for maintaining bar in clean condition and for keeping it stocked properly at all times.
      • Develop a cleaning sequence for coolers and cabinets.
      • Prepares drinks for cocktail server and wait personnel to serve, or serves directly to members.
      • Learn members’ names and their special preferences.
      • Knowledge of wines and spirits.
      • Maintains cleanliness of all glassware and bar equipment.
      • May assist in taking inventory and maintaining records indicating which drinks and liquors are in the greatest demand.
      • Should possess knowledge of the various types of wines.
      • Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks and may premix drinks.
      • Must be aware of costs and how to handle liquor cost effectively without pilferage.
      • Knowledgeable on all aspects of the company food & beverage policy.
      • Communicate with co-workers, management, members, guests, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
      • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, safety rules and guidelines, work procedures, and instructions.

      Skills and Abilities Required:

      • The bartender must be able to mix all usual types of alcoholic beverages and know the proper procedures for handling and serving various types of wines.
      • Should have excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skill with the ability to work well in a group environment.
      • Must be flexible, reliable, and available to work various schedules including weekends and holidays.
      • Alcohol beverage certification/Food Safety Certification.
      • Requires proficiency in a point of sale system.

      Education and/or Experience:

      • Strong communication skills.Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking and listening skills with the ability to work well in a group environment.
      • Flexibility with regards to scheduling, reliable, and available to work various schedules including weekends and holidays.
      • High School diploma or the equivalent.
      • One year or more of previous related experience required. (country club experience a plus)!
          

      Compensation:

      Competitive salary commensurate with experience in the range of $17.00 - $20.00/hour.

  • Fitness Center Member Services/Receptionist
    • Fitness Center Member Services/Receptionist - Part Time Seasonal

      General Purpose of the Position:

      Ensures that the Fitness Center is an inviting place that is well-stocked, clean, and organized for members’ enjoyment as well as the overall operation of the facility.

      Core Competencies and Expectations:

      • Able to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
      • Outstanding customer service skills
      • Develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
      • Ability to clean and maintain the fitness center to required cleanliness standards.
      • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Cleans the fitness center area and wipes down fitness equipment at least once daily or as often as needed.
      • Greets users of the fitness center; has them sign in; answers telephones and maintain files of program cards, testing and other information.
      • Records member information for seminars and presentations.
      • Assists the Healthy Lifestyle Director in initial and continued development of services within the Fitness Department.
      • Attends all training sessions and regular staff meetings; researches assigned projects and topics.
      • Keeps conditioning room neat and clean.
      • Monitors attendance and bills attendees.
      • Sets-up and monitors exercise equipment.
      • Assists with special events in other club departments when necessary.
      • Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Healthy Lifestyle Director.


      Skills and Abilities Required:

      • Must have a pleasant personality and capable of having good communication skills for working directly with members.
      • CPR, AED and First Aid certification preferred or will obtain within 90 days of employment.


      Physical Demands and Work Environment:

      • Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position.
      • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
      • Frequent repetitive motions
      • Continuous standing and walking.
      • Able to lift, pull or push 30 pounds.


      Compensation:

      The starting rate for this position is $12.00 per hour.

      The ideal candidate will be able to work the following schedule as of November 1st:
      Monday &Wednesday: 3:00 to 8:00 pm
      Tuesday & Thursday: 4:00-9:00 pm
      Saturday: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

      Previous Country Club Experience a plus!
